Tea estate this misty morning
A beautifully lit tea estate in the upcountry of Sri Lanka…. The gentle sun illuminating the tea bushes and the area at the back shroud in mist made me an appealing image.

Crossing the track
Pattipola, Sri Lanka early, one misty morning. A man in his cape and boots guides his cow across the railway track and on the roadway beyond the barrier.

‘Thambili’ seller

This lady, taking cover from the slight drizzle, with a man’s umbrella on this wet and gloomy day, was at her make shift perch trying to sell king cocoanuts at the Negombo fisheries market. Apparently, sales have not been that good.

Beauty and the vendor
We were at a portrait session with a few students and seeing the delicate and interesting lighting, got this model to make a purchase at the cart selling king-coconuts and mangoes; both fresh and pickled.

Keeper of the bicycles
Three bicycles await their owners and it is this person who keeps a watchful eye - Negombo, Sri Lanka.

Music, the violin
A warm image of lass playing the violin…the lighting, the diagonal line and the strings with subtle curves for me is music to the eye.

Girls on a mission
I was amused in the way that these girls in pristine white, were purposefully making their way along a rural roadway in Negombo, Sri Lanka. The bicycles leaning against each other in some way, added to the interest of this image.
